I approach today’s 500th installment of Sundays with Tabs with a sense of pride coupled with bittersweet melancholy. Tabs and I have spent an average of 2-3 hours working together on these posts each week for more than 10 years. That’s literally more than 1,000 hours! As silly as these posts are, I’ll cherish the time I’ve spent creating them with Tabs for the rest of my life, because why not? Life is serious, and there’s always going to be something important going on. All of us face important decisions and challenges every single day — lost jobs, car repairs,...

Morning, kitty cat! Short-ish Saturday Surfing today because I’m about to get Connor ready for a Halloween party at her school, and we need to work out her face painting situation, as evident by the somewhat funky monarchs there in the pic (that one on the bottom tho, ha ha!). It was a test run I did on my swatching arm with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils. Now let’s see if I can pull off something “Tabs approved” because you know how picky he is about body art. When I was pregnant with Connor (and for almost the entire year after she was born) I wasn’t good about wearing sunscreen. I wore very little. (OK…I didn’t wear any at all.) It started out from a cautionary standpoint. Tabs turns up his purr-minator machine to warp factor 12 around Valentine’s Day, like his body, which is normally fueled by gravy and love, needs even more pets than usual. I swear, he would spend the entire day on my lap if he could. Sometimes he’s so insistent for lap time that he’ll sit right on my elbow, as close as possible, and stare at my lap like an Olympic figure skater about to take the ice, like he’s been preparing for this moment his entire life. He doesn’t just like lap time. He NEEDS it, and I feel bad...

Hell no! I would hate it. I mean, you know…I’d love some of the perks. I could probably deal with it for about a year, but eventually the attention would wear me down, man. I couldn’t handle having everything I did or wore or said be totally scrutinized. I like doing normal people things waaaaaay too much. Like, I need to be able to buy an extra large bulk jar of Nutella and the new Us Weekly at 11 in the evening without announcing it to the world! I was thinking about this because of a movie I started streaming...
